SGA Youth & Family Services 101st anniversary celebration—TEAM UP WITH SGA—was held at Soldier Field on Thursday, May 3, 2012. The evening featured dinner and a live auction. In keeping with the Soldier Field setting, entertainment from Tilden Career Community Academy High School marching band and John W. Cook Elementary cheerleading squad.
The evening's keynote address was delivered by Angela Glover Blackwell, President and Founder of PolicyLink, a national research and action institute dedicated to advancing economic and social equity. Master of Ceremonies was Larry Yellen, Weekend Anchor, Investigative Reporter, and Legal Analyst for FOX Chicago.

Obama Administration Awards SGA Youth & Family Services 2011 Promise Neighborhood Planning Grant
Senior officials from the Obama Administration and the U.S. Department of Education announced today that SGA Youth & Family Services (SGA) has been awarded a planning grant to put school improvement at the center of local efforts to revitalize underserved neighborhoods. This is the first Promise Neighborhood Planning grant awarded to an Illinois agency.
